First seen Jan 17, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a new type of PET scan (FAPI PET) can find and stage biliary tract cancers (gallbladder and bile duct cancers) better than the standard FDG PET scan. About 60 adults with suspected or confirmed cancer will get both scans to compare accuracy. The goal is to improve detection of cancer spread and reduce the need for invasive tests.
