Summary

This study tested a new type of PET scan called [18F]FAPI-74 in 109 people with gastrointestinal cancers, including liver, bile duct, stomach, pancreas, and colorectal cancers. The scan looks for a protein called FAP that is often found on cancer cells. Researchers compared the scan results with tissue samples to see how well it spots cancer. The goal is to improve how doctors find and monitor these cancers.
