Can better family communication help fight obesity?
NCT ID NCT05120804
Summary
This study tests whether adding family relationship counseling to a standard weight loss program helps Mexican American mothers and their adult daughters manage their weight better. The goal is to see if improving family communication and teamwork around healthy eating and exercise leads to more successful, long-term weight control. Researchers are comparing the standard program to the same program plus special counseling sessions focused on family skills.
