Could family help in therapy speed up stroke recovery?
NCT ID NCT03402906
Summary
This study tested a program where a family member worked closely with hospital therapists to help a loved one recover from a stroke. It focused on improving 'spatial neglect,' a common condition where patients ignore one side of their body or space. The goal was to see if this teamwork approach led to better recovery for the patient and less stress for the caregiver. The trial was stopped early and only included 14 people from a specific area.
