First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a one-time family care education session for parents of babies in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) could improve outcomes. 34 parent-baby pairs took part. Researchers measured parental depression, anxiety, care participation, and baby pain at 10 days and at discharge. The goal was to see if this simple teaching helps both low- and high-risk infants and their parents.
