First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a program called Familia Imara, which brings couples together with community health workers to prevent violence between partners, reduce harsh discipline of children, and improve child nutrition and development. About 6,200 families in Tanzania will take part, with some villages receiving the program and others serving as a comparison group. The goal is to see if this approach can create safer, healthier homes and be scaled up across the country.
