Summary
This completed study interviewed 10 older adults who visited the emergency department and were flagged by an automated system as being at high risk for future falls. The goal was to learn why some patients did not follow up with a falls clinic referral. The findings will help improve how fall prevention programs are delivered in emergency settings.
