New 'Optical Biopsy' could help catch deadly cancer earlier
NCT ID NCT02365779
Summary
This study tested a new imaging tool called Cellvizio® to see if it could spot very early signs of ovarian cancer in the fallopian tubes during surgery. It involved 40 women who were already having their fallopian tubes removed for various reasons. The main goal was to see if the images from this tool matched what was later seen under a microscope in the lab.
