Scientists test if Alzheimer's patients can be taught to stop falling

NCT ID NCT05205980

Summary

This study aims to see if people with mild Alzheimer's disease can learn and remember skills to prevent dangerous falls. Researchers will give one group special balance training using controlled pushes on a treadmill, while another group gets no training. They will then track how often people fall both in the lab and in daily life over six months to see if the training works.
