First seen Jan 20, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether extra balance training and fall-risk education during hospital rehab can prevent falls after stroke patients go home. About 134 participants will be split into two groups: one gets the extra therapy, the other gets usual care. Researchers will track falls for 90 days after discharge to see if the extra help makes a difference.
