New Fall-Fighting therapy for stroke patients shows promise

Summary

This study tests a special therapy and education program for stroke patients in the hospital to help them avoid falls after discharge. About 134 participants will receive either the extra fall-prevention training or standard care. Researchers will track falls for 90 days after leaving the hospital to see if the program reduces fall risk and injuries.
