Could a fake cough or stress ball ease the pain of a bone marrow test?
NCT ID NCT07063498
Summary
This study aims to see if two simple distraction techniques—fake coughing or squeezing a stress ball—can help reduce pain for patients undergoing a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. The procedure is used to diagnose blood cancers and other diseases but can be painful. Researchers will measure pain levels in about 80 adult cancer patients to see if these non-drug methods provide relief.
