Could a tiny implant prevent major surgery for women?

NCT ID NCT05227456

Summary

This study aimed to see if a small, implantable hormone device could help women who still had pelvic pain or heavy bleeding after a previous uterine procedure called endometrial ablation. The goal was to reduce the need for a hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus). Researchers planned to measure pain, bleeding, and track whether women still needed surgery. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
