Hormone implant aimed to save uteruses after failed ablation, but study never started

NCT ID NCT05227456

First seen Dec 11, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study planned to see if a small hormone implant could help women who still have heavy bleeding or pelvic pain after an endometrial ablation avoid needing a hysterectomy. It was designed for women who had already had the ablation procedure. However, the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled, so no results are available.
