Clear vision, brighter future: glasses trial shows promise for struggling students
NCT ID NCT06065631
Summary
This study tested whether providing free eyeglasses to students with vision problems in Sierra Leone would improve their school performance and mental wellbeing. Over 1,800 students aged 9-20 at 300 schools were randomly assigned to receive glasses immediately or later, and their math, reading, and emotional health were tracked for a school year. The goal was to see if simply correcting vision could help children learn better and feel better at school.
