Scientists track eye movements to understand thyroid eye disease

NCT ID NCT07381413

Summary

This study aims to understand how Thyroid-Associated Ophthalmopathy (TAO), which causes bulging eyes and limited eye movement, affects how people move their eyes and look at things. Researchers will use non-invasive eye-tracking technology to record the gaze patterns of 100 participants (both patients and healthy volunteers) as they look at a screen. The goal is to measure differences in eye stability, ability to follow moving objects, and even how people look at faces, to better understand the disease's impact.
