Music stops when you look at anger: new tech tries to retrain Veterans' brains

NCT ID NCT05243459

Summary

This study tested if a computer-based therapy using eye-tracking could reduce PTSD symptoms in veterans. Participants used a system where music played only when they looked at calm faces, aiming to retrain attention away from threatening cues. The trial was terminated early due to the war in Israel, which made recruiting and retaining veteran participants very difficult.
