New eye scanner could spot vision loss before you notice it

NCT ID NCT07170683

Summary

This study is testing a special eye scanner called the MAIA device to see if it can detect early vision changes in people with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) or diabetic retinopathy. Researchers will measure how sensitive the back of the eye is to light and track changes over a year, comparing results to standard eye scans. The goal is to find better ways to monitor these common eye diseases earlier, before significant vision loss occurs.
