Experimental eye injection aims to reduce surgery complications

NCT ID NCT06926478

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing whether injecting the medication adalimumab (Humira) during artificial cornea surgery is safe and well-tolerated. It will involve 8 adults with severe corneal damage who are already scheduled for this specialized surgery. Researchers will monitor participants for 30 days after surgery to see if the injection helps reduce complications and inflammation.
