Eye surgery breakthrough? gel may ease pain better than needle
NCT ID NCT05978687
Summary
This study tested if a numbing gel is as effective as a standard injection for pain relief during surgery to remove a pterygium (a non-cancerous growth on the eye). Researchers compared pain levels and post-surgery dryness in 41 patients. The goal was to see if the gel provides equal pain control with more comfort and less eye dryness afterward.
