Could a simple eye test unlock secrets of stroke and dementia?

Summary
This study aims to find out if damage to tiny blood vessels in the brain, which can cause stroke and dementia, also causes similar leakage in the blood vessels at the back of the eye. Researchers will give 40 participants with known small vessel disease a special eye scan that uses a safe dye to look for this leakage. The goal is to see if this easier, cheaper eye test could one day help doctors monitor the disease or test new treatments.
