Doctors look into your eyes to predict heart trouble
NCT ID NCT05644548
Summary
This study aims to see if a detailed, non-invasive scan of the blood vessels in the back of the eye can reveal information about a person's overall heart and blood vessel health. Researchers will follow 300 people with high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol for five years, performing annual eye scans and collecting health data. The goal is to learn if changes in the tiny eye vessels are linked to larger problems like clogged arteries elsewhere in the body.
