Hidden eye threat discovered in rare skin disease patients
NCT ID NCT03464994
Summary
This study aimed to understand how often people with hereditary ichthyosis, a rare genetic skin condition, develop early signs of an eye condition called keratoconus. Researchers compared 152 people with ichthyosis to healthy individuals using special eye imaging tests. The goal was to determine if ichthyosis patients need regular eye screening to catch vision problems early.
