Researchers map hidden eye risk for millions with diabetes
NCT ID NCT07241845
Summary
This study aims to understand how common a specific type of scar tissue on the retina (an epiretinal membrane) is in people who have diabetic eye disease. Researchers will observe 225 adult patients with both conditions to measure how often they occur together and identify what other health factors might be linked to the membrane's development. The goal is to gather knowledge to help doctors better understand and predict this eye complication.
