Study tests easier eye treatment after cataract surgery

NCT ID NCT04977427

Summary

This study aimed to compare two treatments for controlling inflammation after cataract surgery in patients with diabetes. It would have tested a single-insert treatment (Dextenza) against the standard multi-week eye drop regimen (prednisolone). The goal was to see if the simpler insert treatment worked as well for preventing swelling and inflammation in the eye.
