Scans aim to stop blindness by spotting hidden eye inflammation
NCT ID NCT07206238
Summary
This study aims to find better ways to tell apart two serious causes of sudden vision loss in people over 50. Researchers will use special PET/MRI and eye scans to look for signs of inflammation in the blood vessels around the eye. The goal is to help doctors quickly give the right treatment to prevent blindness and avoid unnecessary, risky medications for those who won't benefit.
