New eye scanner lets patients get scanned while lying flat

NCT ID NCT04661124

Summary

This study tested a new eye imaging device that can scan patients while they're lying down, which could help people who can't sit upright for traditional eye scans. Researchers compared images from this new device to standard upright scanners in 88 adults, some with healthy eyes and some with retinal diseases. The goal was to see if the lying-down scanner produces equally clear and accurate images for diagnosing eye problems.
