New eye drop offers hope for dry eye in transplant patients
NCT ID NCT07118254
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests an experimental eye drop (rhPRG4) to see if it safely eases dry eye symptoms in people with ocular graft-versus-host disease (oGVHD), a complication after bone marrow transplant. About 15 adults with moderate to severe dry eye will receive both the active drop and a placebo in random order, each for 28 days. The goal is to measure improvements in eye staining and symptoms like dryness and burning.
