Scientists test eye drops to improve diabetes vision checks

NCT ID NCT07495670

Summary

This study tested four different ways of using pupil-dilating eye drops in diabetic patients. The goal was to find the most effective method for getting a clear view of the back of the eye during routine screening exams. Researchers compared using one drop versus three drops, and also tested whether adding a numbing drop first made a difference. They monitored pupil size and checked for any side effects like discomfort or changes in blood pressure.
