New eye injection study aims to protect vision with fewer shots

NCT ID NCT07365371

Summary

This study is testing two different treatment schedules for an eye injection (aflibercept 8mg) to control a serious eye condition called Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV), which can cause vision loss. It will enroll 174 Chinese patients who have not received prior treatment for PCV. The main goal is to see if a less frequent injection schedule can be just as effective at maintaining vision and controlling the disease as a more closely monitored schedule.
