Researchers ask: could Mom's pregnancy exposures cause Child's eye condition?

NCT ID NCT04833361

Summary

This study aimed to understand if factors during a mother's first three months of pregnancy might contribute to a child being born with an eye defect called coloboma. Researchers surveyed 76 mothers of children with coloboma, asking about their health, medicine use, and exposures during that early pregnancy period. The goal was to gather information to guide future research into potential causes, not to provide treatment.
