Your eyes may hold clues to your heart health
NCT ID NCT07417410
Summary
This study aims to learn if detailed pictures of the back of the eye (the retina) can help doctors predict which people with type 2 diabetes are more likely to have their diabetic eye disease get worse. It also wants to see if these same eye pictures can help predict a person's risk for serious heart problems like heart attack or stroke. The study will follow about 1,000 adults with type 2 diabetes for one year, using special eye imaging and health records.
