New eye injection trial offers hope for kids with Tough-to-Treat eye cancer
NCT ID NCT05504291
Summary
This study is testing if adding a drug called melphalan, injected directly into the eye, to standard chemotherapy is safe and more effective for treating a serious childhood eye cancer called retinoblastoma. It focuses on children under 18 with a specific, high-risk form of the disease where cancer cells have spread into the eye's fluid. The main goal is to see if this combined approach can better control the cancer and help save the child's eye and vision.
