Needle-in-Eye surgery trial aims to save vision after artery blockage

NCT ID NCT07151755

Summary

This study is testing whether a new surgical procedure can help restore vision after a sudden blockage in the eye's main artery. The procedure involves a tiny needle to deliver clot-busting medication directly into the blocked artery, combined with a standard eye surgery. Researchers will compare this approach to standard care alone in 24 participants who have had symptoms for 7 days or less.
