Breathing tube removal method may reduce oxygen drops after c-section
NCT ID NCT07251686
First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested two techniques for removing the breathing tube after a C-section under general anesthesia. 120 women were randomly assigned to have the tube removed with positive pressure (keeping air flowing in) or negative pressure (using suction). The goal was to see which method led to fewer episodes of low oxygen in the first hour after surgery. Results could help choose the safest extubation method for this common procedure.
