Global hunt for answers: why does removing a breathing tube sometimes go wrong?
NCT ID NCT06442930
Summary
This study aims to understand how often and why serious problems occur when doctors remove a patient's breathing tube after surgery or a stay in intensive care. It will observe 3,000 adult patients worldwide to track complications like severe drops in oxygen or cardiac arrest. The goal is to identify risk factors and see how often hospitals follow best-practice safety guidelines.
