First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at what happens to the lungs right after a breathing tube is removed in 34 adults who had planned surgery. Using a special non-invasive monitor, researchers measured changes in lung air volume and how air spreads in the lungs. The goal was to better understand this risky phase and improve patient care.
