First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study was designed to see if taking oral tranexamic acid (TXA) for 10 days after ACL reconstruction reduces pain and improves recovery in teens and young adults aged 14 to 22. Participants would have received either TXA or a placebo daily from day 1 to 10 after surgery, alongside standard care. The study was withdrawn before enrolling anyone, so no results are available.
