First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether taking an antibiotic pill for 7 days after surgery for a broken leg, ankle, or foot can lower the chance of wound infection in adults with poorly controlled diabetes. About 40 people will either get the antibiotic or standard care (no extra antibiotics). Researchers will check infection rates and side effects over 3 months.
