First seen Feb 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study measures the temperature of air exhaled by patients on breathing machines. The goal is to better understand how much moisture is in their breath, which can help prevent dangerous blockages in the breathing tube. Researchers will enroll 70 adults in the intensive care unit who are using a special humidifier. The findings will be used to improve testing of humidifiers and make breathing machine care safer.
