First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether a long-lasting painkiller called EXPAREL works better than the standard bupivacaine for pain after total ankle replacement. About 104 adults having ankle surgery will receive one of the two drugs as a nerve block. The goal is to see which provides better pain relief and reduces the need for opioid painkillers.
