Summary

This study tested whether adding a long-lasting painkiller (Exparel) to standard numbing medicine helps control pain and reduce opioid use after foot and ankle surgery. About 248 adults having elective surgery took part. The main goal was to see how long the pain relief lasted and how many pain pills patients needed.
