Spinal stimulation boosts exoskeleton walking in SCI patients

Summary
This study looks at whether adding a mild electrical stimulation to the lower back (transcutaneous lumbosacral stimulation) during exoskeleton-assisted walking helps people with spinal cord injury walk farther and faster compared to using the exoskeleton alone. The study involves 24 adults who have had a spinal cord injury for more than 6 years and are wheelchair-dependent. Participants will undergo training with both approaches to see which leads to better walking recovery.
