New pill aims to stop Crohn's disease from returning after surgery

Summary
This study is testing whether an oral medication called EXL01 can prevent Crohn's disease from flaring up again after patients have surgery to remove damaged intestine. About 80 adults who recently had surgery will take either EXL01 or a placebo pill for 24 weeks. Researchers will use a camera to look inside the intestine at 6 months to see if the disease has returned.
