Video games could help seniors stay steady on their feet

Summary

This study tests whether playing balance-focused video games (Xbox Kinect or Wii Fit) for 6 weeks can improve balance and reduce fall risk in healthy older adults aged 55 and older. 46 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two game systems. The goal is to see which type of exergaming is more effective at helping seniors maintain stability and prevent falls.
