Scientists test if playing a fitness video game is as good as a real workout
NCT ID NCT05712317
Summary
This study tested whether a regular workout using an interactive video game system (the ExerCube) could improve health as much as traditional moderate exercise. For 8 weeks, healthy adults did three weekly sessions of either the video game workout or standard endurance exercise. Researchers measured changes in fitness, blood pressure, and artery health to see if the fun, game-based approach was just as effective.
