Muscle vs. medication: fighting drug side effects with exercise
NCT ID NCT07386483
Summary
This study is testing if a supervised strength training program can prevent harmful weight gain and improve physical health in people recently diagnosed with psychosis who are starting antipsychotic medication. The trial will involve 40 participants who will either start a 12-week exercise program immediately or after a waiting period. Researchers want to see if this approach is practical and effective at controlling body fat and improving metabolic health.
