First seen May 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tested two different exercise programs in 111 older adults (ages 65-85) to see which better reduces fall risk. One group did resistance training, the other combined balance and strength exercises. Both groups trained for 6 weeks and were then monitored for falls over the next two years. The goal was to find the best way to keep seniors active and safe from falls.
