Can a workout boost therapy for senior anxiety?
NCT ID NCT02690441
Summary
This study tested whether adding a physical exercise program to standard cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) works better for treating severe anxiety in older adults. It involved 53 participants aged 60+ with a diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder. The goal was to see if the combined approach leads to greater symptom reduction and higher recovery rates than therapy alone.
