New study tests Hands-On therapy and exercises for chronic back pain relief

NCT ID NCT03270631

Summary

This study is testing whether adding specific movement control exercises and a hands-on therapy called fascial manipulation to standard rehabilitation helps people with chronic low back pain. It involves 250 adults in Finland who are already scheduled for a standard back pain rehab program. Participants are randomly assigned to receive different combinations of the real or 'sham' (placebo-like) therapies to see which approach works best for reducing pain and improving function over a year.
