First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Apr 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looks at how one session of intense exercise changes sleep patterns in people with Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD). Researchers will compare 150 adults—some with the condition and some without—after a single workout. Participants wear sleep trackers and undergo sleep tests to measure leg movements and sleep quality. The goal is to understand if acute exercise can reduce nighttime leg jerks and help develop future wearable detection tools.
